Context and Problem Statement
Charmrace.com is a garage running for 37 years; when the garage received a make over, it was time to update their website and mobile app.
Reports showed that customers were not fully engaging with the app, were unable to make online bookings/enquiries easily and that its functionality was not fit for purpose.
Users wanted to make MOT payments on the app for ease instead of going in or paying over the phone; this was especially for customers who had their cars picked up/delivered as part of the free service.
Charmrace has always had a very busy phone service, therefore it was simpler for customers to use the mobile app, to save a phone call.

High Fidelity Wireframes
Colour: Charmrace’s branded Bosch colour scheme, juxtaposed with grey metals to embody machinery.
Customers wanted their colour scheme fairly muted and not too overpowering.
When the customer hovers over the tiled icons, they contain affordances navigating to their many services.
Customers noted that the navigation, images and functionality of the app was more efficient and that they can now make an online enquiry to book their car on the go!
The additional functionality to make payment for the MOT (as it is a fixed price) was a vital function that made their garage experience simple.
